Chunky River Harley Davidson Customer Care Review

I have not bought a bike at Chunky River. But I have bought parts and apparel from them. They have bent over backwards helping me with parts and accessories. If I was to buy a new bike then it would probably be from them.

Not sure about the dude that needs to be recognized by the GM. Sounds kinda narcissistic to me the need to be recognized like that. After all, you deal strictly with the service staff. They make everything happen. I don't know the GM but I would like to commend him on his staff. We too just dropped a lot of dollars just recently and took a gamble on Chunky River not knowing anyone there or anything about the company. We live out of town and CRHD was the closest to us, roughly 100 miles and ended up staying over night while the service department worked diligently to locate the problem with the bike. They did! I can't say enough about our new friends at CRHD! Dave, Corey, Mack, Randy, Chris and all the sales associates took excellent care of us and accommodated our every need. They made us feel welcome and comfortable while we had to be there. To me that speaks volumes of the GM that he would surround himself with the best of the best. CRHD is our family now and we will strictly do business with them in the future. Thanks so much from The Johnstons!

What a website this is, I put in the word Bull **** which is one of the indicators at the bottom of my review, and they put *** instead of the word Bull ***.

For those who think this is ***, I say go ahead and buy a new Harley there, come back a month later and see how you are ignored. Talk to any honest former employee and they will tell you how they operate to get rid of employee's they no longer want around. When the owner sells this dealership it will be a huge improvement.

My wife worked at Chunky River Harley Davidson for about a year in the Motorclothing dept. keeping care of the displays and other merchandise. She was working in the storage room when a large plastic bin of T shirts fell off of the top shelf and landed on her foot. Her foot was broken and she went to the doctor who confirmed she had 4 bones broken. When she returned to work on crutches, she was told she couldn't work on crutches. She put her crutches in her car and went back to work limping. They would NOT cover her on workman's comp. and they started giving her menial jobs to do and cutting her hours. They did anything they could to get her to quit. She turned in her resignation and she was told she didn't have to work her two weeks notice. When she went to the unemployment office to see about getting unemployment insurance, we found out that the owners said she had been fired, and that she was a sorry employee, this after the GM had come to me, on three separate occasions, telling me how good of a worker she is and how he wished the other employee's would work at least half as much as she worked. She never stopped working on something there all day long. I had purchased two Harley's from them, but I will not buy my next new Harley from them. I only go there when I have no other choice, otherwise I ride 180 miles round trip to my next nearest Harley Davidson Dealership instead of the 5 miles to Chunky River.

Spend $1,000's of dollars @ Harley Davidson dealership and GM treat you like ***!

I just laid down $3,500.00 in a local Harley Davidson dealership on parts and service. The General Manager of the store walked by and spoke and shook hands with 2 other customers in the store that I was having a conversation with (standing right beside me) and the GM looked straight at me, walked on, never spoke, never a thank's for your business, never a friendly smile, never a kiss my ***, nothing. If it were not for the customers spending that kind of money in that store, it wouldn't be in existence, he wouldn't have a job. Is this the thanks I get for spending serious money in this type of store? Is this the thanks I get from Harley Davidson's General Manager's. These GM's are a representation of this product

I tried to purchase a bike at chunky river. Come to find out the bike had a lean agains the title.

So I refused the product. I was told they would write me a check the next day as the accountant had left. Two days later after hearing every excuse in the book I finally talk to the GM who tells me he'll write my d*** check and hangs up on me.

The salesman were great. The management horrible

I would have defended Chunky River too a few years ago. They went out of their way to be helpful and courteous.

I bought my bike there and have told numerous people how helpful they were. Recently though I was again looking at new bikes and after an internet search of their inventory called to ask for the price of a bike. The sales person was evasive and wouldn't give me a price over the phone. She said there were too many variables and that I would have to come into the store.

I wasn't asking for my trade appraisal, just the selling price on their bike.

Tommorow I will be going to my local dealer here to buy a bike. I was ver happy with Chunky river 3 years ago, but I guess times have changed :(

just bought a 2014 from Chunky River! other than low balled me on my trade inn ( my fault) I probably left money on the table.

but for the service group and to do business with somebody other than Jackson Ms Harley its refreshing. a couple years ago I stopped by and nobody talked to me and I went straight to Jackson and bought an ultra. then I had service problems with the front end shaking. Was told by the service guy that it was the front tire.

they replaced it and there was still a wabble at low speeds. I was told that they could do no more and so I took it to Chunky river who fixed the problem in about and hour. Seems that Jackson had sold me a tire that was no good and would not fix the problem. CR fixed it and then called the next day to see if I was happy with their service.

Just bought a 2014 from them just for the service department should I need it. The head mechanic at Jackson is great but his hands are tied by the AH that runs the service department.

everybody has problems from time to time. CR seems to be the best bet if you need a bike.

I have never had a negative experience at Chunky River Harley. They have always been courteous and friendly and they've always gone above and beyond to satisfy me.
